Leslie Bortels is the software development manager at Elsyca NV and co-founded the company back in 1997.

He holds a PhD in applied sciences from Brussels university (VUB) and is author / co-author of several peer reviewed papers and patents on electrochemical engineering and cathodic protection related topics. Leslie is a NACE certified Cathodic Protection Tester & Cathodic Protection Technician.

He is passionately involved in developing / co-developing expert simulation tools in the fields of electrochemical surface finishing, cathodic protection & AC mitigation and corrosion.

Besides that passion, Leslie enjoys time out in nature with his family: “Mens sana in corpore sano!”
