We’re excited to welcome Negin Madelat as the newest member of the Elsyca team! Negin joins us as CAE Project Engineer, bringing with her deep electrochemical research and engineering knowledge.
Negin Madelat holds a Ph.D. in engineering sciences with her research focused on electrochemistry and surface engineering, obtained from the Sustainable Materials Engineering (SUME) research group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium.
With over 7 years of experience in electrochemistry, she has developed hands-on expertise in electrodeposition and (hydro)metallurgy, organic and anti-corrosive coatings, cathodic protection and zinc-rich coatings, and corrosion inhibitors. In the past 2 years, as a project leader, she managed an industrial collaboration that investigated the correlation between the intermittent operational conditions and the performance of Pb-Ag anodes in zinc electrowinning processes, aiming to extend anode lifetime.
Negin recently joined Elsyca as CAE Project Engineer, where she leverages Elsyca’s Comprehensive Digital Twins to execute projects in electrochemical processes across various industries.
Beyond the world of electrochemistry, Negin enjoys physical activities such as Pilates and yoga. She is also fascinated by neuroscience and psychology, and enjoys reading and discussing topics in these fields.
