Elsyca Brings Sharper Gerber Accuracy and a More Automated Workflow to PCBStudio
Latest release adds a pixel-perfect Direct Gerber viewer, CSV-based P-Point definition, and smarter copper balancing across PCBBalance and PCB Plate.
WIJGMAAL (LEUVEN), Belgium, July 16, 2026 — Elsyca, a provider of electrochemical simulation software for PCB plating, cathodic protection, and related electrochemical processes, today detailed upcoming updates to PCBStudio, its suite for PCB plating simulation. The release focuses on sharper Gerber accuracy and a more flexible, more automated modeling workflow across PCBBalance and PCB Plate.
Direct Gerber Viewer
PCBBalance now includes a Direct Gerber viewer that delivers pixel-perfect visualization of rectangular traces, matching the precision of the Gerber format itself.
CSV-Based P-Point Definition
Engineers can now define P-Points directly from an external CSV file, with the file's delimiter and structure detected automatically.
More Flexible PCB Plate Setup
In PCB Plate, Gerber data can now be imported first, with panel size defined or adjusted afterward, making model definition faster and more adaptable.
Smarter Copper Balancing in PCBBalance
Several new capabilities streamline copper balance analysis, including improved visualization of Gerber inputs, direct import of user-defined copper thieving information from existing Gerber files, automatic verification of copper fraction on both faces of the board, and optimization of copper distribution across each side for more balanced copper loading.
