Marc Goldchstein

Marc Goldchstein (°1958) studied Business Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Solvay Business School).

 

Between 1983 and 1987 Marc worked full time at the Department of Business Economics at the VUB. Between 1987 and 2004 Marc was employed by the VUB on a 10% mandate, responsible for the Student Enterprises (ETC) project while pursuing a business career. Since October 2004, Marc is project leader ‘entrepreneurship’, with the mandate to develop the course “entrepreneurship”. Since January 2007 he is responsible for a project around the teaching of entrepreneurship in technological engineering curriculums.

Since September 2009 Marc works part time at the Technology Transfert Interface of the VUB, where he is responsible for the Industrial Research Fund (IOF); He also coaches spin-off projects and represent the Venture Capital Fund BI3 in a number of Boards of Directors.

 

Marcs business experience took off in 1987, when he founded SoftCore. From 1994 till 1998, Marc joined RAM Mobile Data during its start-up phase. Marc joined Enfocus Software from 1999 to 2005; the company received the Trends Gazelle Award for one of the fastest growing companies in Belgium. In this last company, Marc worked as International Sales Manager and as Vice President (Sales and) Marketing.

 

Besides his academic and business career, Marc is also part time photographer and photographer/journalist.
