Integrity Management

What services do we offer?

Managing assets with potential impact on public environment leads to two main concerns:

  • Integrity Management: to comply with prescribed governmental requirements of and restrictions on the integrity of the assets and to prioritize and perform preventive activities and monitor the actual condition of structures/pipelines; cathodic protection, integrity management, risk management, preventive, pipelines, structures, corrosion
  • Risk Management: to realize and preserve environmental risk of the structure/pipeline within acceptable (or agreed) level and to prioritize and perform mitigating activities.

 

As corrosion is one of the major risks of failure for pipelines & structures, an accurate and flexible tool to analyze the effectiveness of an existing cathodic protection installation within its specific environment is a key element of any integrity management system.


Existing cathodic protection modules of integrity management systems of operators are facing following limitations:

  • they are unable to take into account the increased influence of interference as e.g. caused by the trend to locate all utilities within same right-of-way or common energy corridors;
  • they are unable to cope with complex geometries and environmental variations;
  • being based on a combination of experience, experimental data and heuristics they do not meet the accuracy level of computer models;
  • the rigid structure of existing cathodic protection modules makes data exchange with other integrity management modules labour-intensive and troublesome.


What value do we bring ?

Thanks to its unique combination of software tools, field services and research & development activities, Elsyca is able to develop targeted cathodic protection modules for integrity management systems.


The solution proposed by Elsyca is based on the combination of Elsyca CatPro (for pipeline grids) and Elsyca CPMaster (narrowing on structures). This solution is adapted under a specific development program to be integrated within the integrity management solution of the operator. This approach allows to:

  • manage vast networks of pipelines while being able to zoom into detailed structures;
  • study ‘what-if’ scenarios and perform statistical analysis;
  • optimize the field survey plans;
  • ease the transfer of data with surrounding applications.
