There are many reasons why existing cathodic protection installations are scrutinized. One wants to assess the performance of the cathodic protection system and validate or optimize its design in view of:

  • data capturing and measurement: soil/sea water resistivity, polarization;
  • CAD modeling of the structure or pipeline network and the cathodic protection system;
  • simulation and optimization of the cathodic protection performance. 

 

With a virtual 3D model of the structure or pipeline and its cathodic protection system one can:

  • assess the current performance of the cathodic protection system;
  • trace and correct existing anomalies;
  • evaluate the impact on the cathodic protection performance in case of newly built neighboring structures/activities/cathodic protection systems;
  • identify the critical areas and verify local protection level;
